Replacing an Oven Light Bulb

Use a 25W, 220-240V 50Hz G9 halogen bulb for replacement.
Do not use a standard light bulb in any oven, the heat will break it.
1. Allow the oven (including the lamp cover and the bulb) to cool completely.
2. Remove any shelves that may get in the way.
3. Remove the door if the lamp will be hard to reach.
4. Turn the power supply to the cooker off at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel. If you don't know how to do
this, contact an electrician.
Failure to disconnect the cooker from the power supply may result in death or electrical shock.
5. Remove the lamp cover.
◦ Upper lights: wearing a rubber glove to improve grip turn the cover anticlockwise to unscrew.
◦ Side lights: wearing a rubber glove to improve grip, hold the cover and prise out using finger nails on other
hand. If this does not work place a thin plastic spatula between the cover and cavity wall and gently twist to
prise the cover off. Take care not to chip the glass covers or to damage the enamel finish inside the oven.
6. Remove the faulty bulb.
7. Holding the replacement bulb in a soft cloth or tissue insert it into the socket. Do not touch the bulb with your
fingers.
8. Replace the lamp cover.
◦ Upper lights: turn the cover clockwise to tighten and then back a quarter turn
9. Turn the power supply to the cooker back on at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel.
