Installing a vertical-mount Multiservice Switch 7420 or

Multiservice Switch 7440

Install a vertical-mount device under or beside a desk or table.

You need a vertical mount kit with PEC NTHQ08.

Ensure that your floor plan takes into consideration all of the information

in "Site preparation for free-standing Multiservice Switch equipment"

Ground yourself to an appropriate anti-static discharge apparatus while

handling the shelf assembly (device).

Set the chassis on a clear work surface.

Attach the cable guide to the fan-less side of the chassis using the

hardware provided.

Attach the shelf assembly to the fan side of the chassis, and then attach

the plate to the shelf assembly. See the figure "Attaching the plate to the

shelf assembly" on page 309.
