Installing a vertical-mount 3-slot Passport switch

Install a vertical-mount switch under or beside a desk or table.
• You will need a vertical mount kit with PEC NTHQ08AA.
• Ensure your floor plan takes into consideration all of the information in
"Site preparation for a free-standing 3-slot or 5-slot Passport switch"
(page 41).
1 Set the chassis on a clear work surface.
2 Attach the cable guide to the fan-less side of the chassis using the
hardware provided.
3 Attach the shelf assembly to the fan side of the chassis, and then attach
the plate to the shelf assembly. See the figure "Attaching the plate to the
shelf assembly" on page 253
