CHECK FASTENERS

Check for loose or missing hardware.

LUBRICATE UNIT

Gravely recommends using Gravely Hi-Temp
Grease or equivalent (see Service Parts on
page 17) to lubricate fittings. Lubricate each
season or every 25 hours of operation.
IMPORTANT: Wipe each fitting clean before
and after lubrication.
Use the following key for all lubrication
procedures. Apply grease at the grease
zerks.

1. Apply grease to caster pivots on both
sides of mower deck. See Figure 17.

2. Apply grease to spindle bearings until
grease is expelled from vent on spindle
housings. See Figure 18.
3. Apply grease to the half shafts located
below the fuel tank. See Figure 19.
General Lubrication
Lubricate all pivot points and pin connections.
CHECK CARBON CANISTER
FILTER
Clean or replace carbon canister filter
whenever the engine air filter is cleaned or
replaced. See Figure 20.
