Equipment Damage.
Placing the circuit breaker on its rear side may cause damage to
the finger cluster assemblies.
When handling circuit breakers, do not place them on their rear side.
NOTICE
- Until it is installed, store the SION
(sealed packing for overseas transport) in an enclosed, dry, well ventilated and (wherever possible) dust-free
place.
The relative air humidity in the place of storage should be below 60%.
Outside the scope of normal operating conditions, the withdrawable module with the SION
can be stored and transported (in its sealed packing) in the temperature limit range from -40°C to +55°C.
As the permissible number for stacking depends on the weight of the packing unit, the carrying capacity of the
packing and the height of a packing unit, not more than three packing units should be placed on top of each oth-
er. The weight of the packing unit is documented on the delivery note.
- For transport overseas, desiccant (to DIN 55473) is affixed inside the sealed packing in order to absorb moisture.
The effectiveness of the desiccant is shown by a humidity indicator that changes color according to the moisture
in the air. If the indicator shows:
Blue, the desiccant is active
Pink, the contents are damp and the desiccant has lost its effect.
If the vacuum circuit breaker is stored in undamaged sealed packing, the condition of the desiccant must be
checked regularly.
If the packing is damaged:
- Unpack the goods and store them in a dry place, or
- Repack them, or
- Renew the desiccant and seal the packing airtight.
