Receiving and Reading a Message

The following describes basic operations and useful tips when receiving and reading a message.
Operation of Other Applications
If applications other than the messaging application are operating when a message is received, e606 will
receive the message as a background operation, in which case the message ringtune will not sound but
an envelope icon displayed on the top of the display screen will indicate that there is a newly received
message. Also, during another operation the contents of the Multimedia message/Video message will
not be downloaded automatically, even if the Set Receive Mode is set as Auto Receive.
Receiving Multimedia messages and Video messages in 2G Area
The Multimedia messaging and Video messaging services are only supported by 3G. When your
handset is in an area outside the 3G service area, you can still receive the notification messages in the
2G service area. However, you can only receive the contents of the Multimedia message/Video message
within the 3G service area.
