The following describes the functions provided from the menus on the Message menu list:

The following describes the settings under Message Settings:

Text Msg Settings
Description
Writes and sends a new Text message, Multimedia message, or
Video message.
Displays the received messages as a list.
Displays a list of unsent, saved messages.
Displays sent messages as a list.
Changes messaging function settings and edits the header, the
footer and quoted reply mark for sent text.
Description
Changes the following settings for Text messaging function:
Status Report: Selects whether to request a status report of the
sent Text messages. Press the Enter key to place/remove a
checkmark to/from Requested, and press the SK1 (OK) key to
confirm the check.
Set Valid Period: Selects the period of time the Text message is
stored on the server while trying to deliver the Text message.
Set SMS Centre: Edits the SMS Centre address. This address is
saved in the USIM card. When the address field is left blank and
the SK1 (OK) key is pressed, the address returns to the previous
setting.
Confirm Settings: Displays the current settings of the status
report request, valid period and the SMS centre address.
