ignition switch is turned
to ON position at engine
off
Oil pressure warning light
stays ON

Brake and Parking Brake Warning Light Symptom Diagnosis

Condition
Brake warning light does
not light up when brake
fluid level is low or
parking brake is pulled up
or for 2 seconds after
turning ON ignition switch
Brake warning light stays
ON

Circuit fuse blown
Data (information) can not be received
by CAN communication
Oil pressure switch faulty
Wiring or ground faulty
Combination meter faulty
BCM faulty
Data (information) can not be received
by CAN communication

Pressure Switch Inspection".
Repair circuit.
Replace combination meter.
Replace after making sure that none of above
parts is faulty.
Check BCM for DTC referring to "DTC Check
in Section 10B".
Check oil pressure switch referring to "Oil
Pressure Switch Inspection".
Repair circuit.
Replace combination meter.
Replace after making sure that none of above
parts is faulty.
Correction / Reference Item
Replace fuse and check for short circuit.

Check brake fluid level switch referring to
"Brake Fluid Level Switch Inspection".

Check parking brake switch referring to
"Parking Brake Switch Inspection".
Refer to "EBD Warning Light (Brake Warning
Light) Check in Section 4E".
Repair circuit.
Replace combination meter.
Replace after making sure that none of above
parts is faulty.
