4.4.3 Transfer of RS-485 data among HD-PLCs

4.4.3.1 When 485-Master is connected to PLC-Master

· Maximum performance can be obtained when 485-Master is connected to PLC-Master.
· From the PLC, to which 485-Master is connected, transfer the command by unicast to each
PLC-Terminal which 485-Slave is connected.
· The response to the PLC, to which 485-Master is connected from PLC-Terminal is also
transferred with unicast.
· When received by 485-Master, PLC-Master transfers the command by unicast to each
PLC-Terminal to which 485-Slave is connected. However, it excludes the source
PLC-Terminal from which the response is sent.
Specific case: 485-Master 1 communicates with 485-Slave 3
1) 485-Master 1 sends a command to 485-Slave 3
2) Command transfer from PLC-Master to PLC-Terminal (485-Slave 2/3/4) with unicast
3) 485-Slave 3 sends a response to 485-Master 1
4) Response transfer from PLC-Terminal 3 to PLC-Master 1 with unicast
5) Command transfer to PLC-Terminal (485-Slave 2/4) by PLC-Master 1 with unicast
6) 485-Master 1 receives the response
