4.1.3 Guidelines for placing PLC adaptors

When installing the HD-PLC in the main power line of a building / condominium, put a Master at the part
that collects data (which distribution board point etc.), and set up a Terminal at each residence or on the
distribution board.
· There may be large attenuation at the distribution board point.
· It is because the PLC signal attenuates due to this branch since many sub-breakers exist in the
distribution board and branch wiring.
・For that reason, basically, every time going through the distribution board, you need to install a
Terminal on that distribution board.
If a Terminal is not installed on the distribution board, there is a high possibility that symptoms may occure
such as communication cannot be made, communication speed is slow, or it is not stable.
