Use the numeric buttons to select the desired
item.
• To select a nu m ber betw een 1 and 10:
Press the corresponding button for the nu m ber.
• To select a nu m ber higher than 10:
Use the +10 button.
Exa m ples:
+10 → 3
To select 13:
+10 → +10 → +10 → 4
To select 34:
+10 → +10 → +10 → 10
To select 40:
The unit starts playback of the selected ite m.
You can return to the m enu by pressing the
RET URN button.
W hen so m ething like " N E X T" or "PREVIO U S "
appears on the TV screen, the unit generally w orks
as follo ws:
• Pressing ¢ advances to the next page.
• Pressing 4 returns to the previous page.
* The m ethod of the operation m ay be different on
different discs.
• If you want to play a PBC-co m patible Video CD/SVCD disc
without activating the PBC function, start playback using
the nu m eric buttons instead of 3. (See page 20.)
• To activate the PBC function w hen a PBC-co m patible Video
CD/SVCD disc is being played back without the PBC
function, do any of the follo wing:
* Press TOP M E N U or M E N U.
* Press 7 to stop playback, then press 3.

To specify a desired title

W hile playing back a DVD VIDE O disc with m ore than
one title, you can specify a desired title to be played
using the nu m eric buttons.

To locate a desired position in the
current title or track [Time search]
Available :
You can play a disc fro m the desired position by
specifying the tim e fro m the beginning of the current
title (for DVD VIDE O), or the disc (for A udio CD/Video CD/
SVCD) using the tim e search function.
N ote that so m e DVD VIDE O discs do not contain tim e
inform ation, and the tim e search function cannot be
used.
