Memory Frequency For
Use this item to configure the clock frequency of the installed DRAMs. Setting options:
[Auto], [DDR266], [DDR333], [DDR320], [DDR400].
System BIOS Cacheable
Selecting [Enabled] allows caching of the system BIOS ROM at F0000h-FFFFFh,
resulting in better system performance. However, if any program writes to this
memory area, a system error may result. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled].
Video BIOS Cacheable
Selecting [Enabled] allows caching of the video BIOS ROM at C0000h to C7FFFh,
resulting in better video performance. However, if any program writes to this memory
area, a system error may result. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled].
Memory Hole At 15M-16M
In order to improve performance, certain space in memory can be reserved for ISA
peripherals. This memory must be mapped into the memory space below 16MB. When
this area is reserved, it cannot be cached. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled].
Delay Prior to Thermal
When the CPU temperature reaches a factory preset level, a thermal monitoring
mechanism will be enabled following the appropriate timing delay specified in this
field. With the thermal monitoring enabled, clock modulation controlled by the
processor's internal thermal sensor is also activated to keep the processor within
allowable temperature limit. Setting options: [4 Min], [8 Min], [16 Min], [32 Min].
AGP Aperture Size (MB)
This setting controls just how much system RAM can be allocated to AGP for video
purposes. The aperture is a portion of the PCI memory address range dedicated to
graphics memory address space. Host cycles that hit the aperture range are
forwarded to the AGP without any translation. The option allows the selection of an
aperture size of [4], [8], [16], [32], [64], [128], and [256].
Init Display First
Initialize the AGP video display before initializing any other display device on the
system. Thus the AGP display becomes the primary display. Setting options: [Onboard/
AGP] and [PCI Slot].
**On-Chip VGA Setting**
The following items allow you to configure the settings about On-Chip VGA.
On-Chip VGA
This setting determines whether the system RAM can be allocated to on-chip video
controller for video purposes. When setting to Enabled, up to 128MB system RAM
will be allocated to on-chip video controller. Setting: [Enabled] and [Disabled].
