Remove the front bezel

This server has a removable bezel that must be unlocked and opened before accessing the drives. The
bezel must be kept closed during normal server operations.
To remove the component, unlock and remove the front bezel.

Access panel

To remove the component:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: For proper cooling do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot covers, or blanks installed.
Power down the server (on page 24).

Remove all power:

Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

Disconnect each power cord from the server.
b.
Unlock the front bezel (on page 25).
3.
Place the server on its side.
4.
Remove the access panel:

Loosen the access panel thumbscrews.
