Synchronizing a wave to the performance tempo
By specifying a wave's tempo (the Wave Tempo), you can make the wave play back in synchronization with the tempo of
the performance.
1.
Play a pad to select the wave that you want to synchronize.
2.
In the KIT screen, choose QUICK MENU
3.
Use the cursor [ ] [ ] buttons and [-] [+] buttons to specify the wave tempo.

TEMPO (Wave tempo) 20.0–260.0
BEAT
MEASURE
4.
Turn TEMPO SYNC (p. 45) "ON."
* Synchronization may drift if playback continues for an extended period of time.
Setting the kit tempo based on the wave tempo
Here's how to set the kit's tempo (KIT TEMPO) according to the wave tempo setting.
1.
Play a pad to select a wave for which you've specified the wave tempo.
2.
In the KIT screen, choose QUICK MENU
3.
Press the [ENTER] button.
The KIT TEMPO (p. 42) will be set to the same value as the wave tempo.

Output Assignments (OUTPUT)

Here you can specify the jack(s) from which the sound of each pad will be output.

MIDI Settings (MIDI)

Here you can make MIDI-related settings for each pad. Refer to "MIDI Settings for Each Pad (MIDI)" (p. 67).
TEMPO MATCH.
Value
Explanation
Specifies the wave tempo.
1/4–16/4, 1/8–16/8
Specifies the wave's time signature (BEAT) and the number of measures in it
(MEASURE).
The wave tempo is automatically calculated based on these settings.
1–999
You can also edit the wave tempo value after it has been calculated.

Explanation
Output from the MASTER OUT jacks and the PHONES jack.
Apply a kit effect (FX1) and output from the MASTER OUT jacks and the PHONES jack.
Apply a kit effect (FX2) and output from the MASTER OUT jacks and the PHONES jack.
Output from the SUB OUT jacks and the PHONES jack.
Output from the PHONES jack.
