Moving off with a trailer
(vehicles with manual
transmission)
Depending on the gradient and the
weight of the trailer, the vehicle and
trailer may roll backwards slightly
when you move off on a slope. To
prevent this happening, deactivate
the Drive Away Release and release
the EPB manually as follows:
1. Pull up the switch and hold it in this
position.
2. Move off as normal and then
press down the switch when you
notice that the engine has
developed sufficient driving force.
Meaning
The EPB is still applied. Push
down the switch to release the
EPB manually.
The EPB is not applied. Pull up
the switch to apply the EPB
manually.
The Drive Away Release function
is temporarily disabled. Release
the EPB manually when moving
This indicates a malfunction of
the EPB. The EPB will still operate
but have the system checked by
an expert as soon as possible.
