9.5. Specifications for HDD Spin-up/Spin-down
Condition of
HDD
Spin-up Spin-
*When Recording or Playback
down
operation is not performed for
over 30 minutes in condition that
no disc in the RAM Drive and HDD
is spinning, the HDD shifts to Spin-
down.
Spin-down is
*Operations of CH UP/DOWN,
kept
changing the OSD and so on in EE
mode is permitted.
*Drive selection and Tray opening
are permitted, but HDD is not
shifted to Spin-up.
*Programmingof the Timer
recording is permitted, but HDD
does not shifts to Spin-up.
Working Spec.

Indications
*LED for HDD is ON for 5 seconds.
*[LED SLEEP] is indicated on the
FL display.
*A message for shifting to Spin-
down is displayed with OSD
screen.
*Center circle (Red + White) is ON
when the drive is HDD side.
*[HDD SLEEP] is indicated on the
FL display all the time.
*HDD LED is ON.
