(6) 1000BASE-LX／1000BASE-LH Single-mode Optical Fiber Cord
(Core diameter: 10μm，SC twin- core connector)
This is used for the connection with 1000BASE-LX（GBIC-LX）and 1000BASE-LH（GBIC-
LH）.
The boundary with 1000BASE-LX/1000BASE-LH is the connector on GR4000.
The maximum transmission distance between the devices with 1000BASE-LX when
using an optic fiber which core/clad diameter is 10／125μm （wave length: 1300nm）is
5Km.
Likely, the maximum transmission distance between the devices with 1000BASE-LH
when using an optic fiber which core/clad diameter is 10／125μm (wave length:
1550nm) is 70Km.
Figure 3.2-6 shows the rough sketch of the cable, and Table 3.2-10 and Table 3.2-11
show the specifications of optic fiber interfaces.
