(5) 1000BASE-SX/1000BASE-LX Multi-mode Optical Fiber Cord
(Core diameter: 62.5μm，SC twin- core connector)
This is used for the connection with 1000BASE-SX（GBIC-SX）and 1000BASE-LX（GBIC-
LX）. The boundary with 1000BASE-SX/1000BASE-LX is the connector on GR4000.
The maximum transmission distance between the devices with 1000BASE-SX when
using an optic fiber which core/clad diameter is 62.5／125μm and bandwidth is
200MHz･km（wave length: 850nm）is 275m.
Likely, the maximum transmission distance between the devices with 1000BASE-LX
when using an optic fiber which core/clad diameter is 62.5／125μm and bandwidth is
500MHz･km (wave length: 1300nm) is 550m.
Figure 3.2-5 shows the rough sketch of the cable, and Table 3.2-8 and Table 3.2-9 show
the specifications of optic fiber interfaces.
