5 . Tilt the fence outward as far as possible and using a
combination square (F) F i g . 2 6 , c h e c k t o s e e i f t h e f e n c e i s
tilted outward 45 degrees to the table, as shown. NOTE:
90 degree stop (B) must be rota t e d u p i n o r d e r t o t i l t t h e
fence outward. If an adjustment is necessary, l o o s e n l o c k
n u t ( K ) Fig. 27, and adjust screw (L) until head of screw (L)
conta c ts back of fence (M) when the fence is at 45 degrees
t o t h e ta b l e . IMPORTA N T:Always make sure fence locking
handle (E) is tightened before operating machine.

ADJUSTMENTS
To r a i s e o r l o w e r t h e i n f e e d ta b l e , l o o s e n table lock handle
( A ) Fig. 28, and move the table raising and lowering hand
l e v e r ( B ) u p o r d o w n u n t i l t h e ta b l e i s a t t h e d e s i r e d p o s i t i o n
a n d t i g h t e n table lock handle (A). NOTE: The table lock
handle (A) can be repositioned by pulling out the handle
and repositioning it on the serrated nut located under the
handle.
The depth of cut of the infeed ta b l e ( p o s i t i o n o f ta b l e i n
r e l a t i o n s h i p w i t h t h e c u t t i n g c i r c l e ) can be read with the
English/Metric scale and pointer (G) Fig. 28.
Positive stops a r e p r o v i d e d o n t h e j o i n t e r t o l i m i t t h e h e i g h t
and depth of the infeed ta b l e . To adjust the stops , s i m p l y
loosen two locknuts (C) and (D) Fig. 29, and turn the two
adjustment screws (E) and (F) as necessary.Retighten
locknuts (C) and (D). We recommend that the height of the
i n f e e d table be adjusted so the ta b l e a t i ts h i g h e s t p o i n t w i l l
be 1/2mm below the highest point of the knives. T h i s i s a n
important feature of your jointer which enables you to
r a p i d l y p o s i t i o n t h e i n f e e d ta b l e f o r a f i n i s h o r a f i n a l c u t .
