If operating Web Console from the same web browser as before the upgrade, delete the web browser's cache prior to operation.

After upgrading to this version, when changing the SNMP communication protocol used for fault management from SNMPv1 to
SNMPv3, refer to the following section in the chapter "Maintenance" in the ETERNUS SF Express Operation Guide for this version and
configure your operational environment.

3.2 Upgrading Express (for Linux)

3.2.1 Preparing for Upgrade

Point
It is recommended that you back up the system before starting the upgrade. If a failure occurs during the upgrade, you cannot restore
the environment to the pre-installation status (rollback).
When returning back to the state before installation of the upgrade, recover (restore) the system from the backup.
3.2.1.1

Backing Up Operational Environment of Previous Version

With the following procedure, back up the operational environment of the previous version:
1.
Back up the following information manually.

Performance monitoring
If the performance monitoring was performed with the previous version, refer to the following information related to the
performance monitoring with Web Console of the previous version and record the configuration information of the previous
version.

Performance monitoring target (only for ETERNUS Disk storage system. Minimum LUN_V, Maximum LUN_V)

Back up the Express operational environment of previous version.
Refer to
"A.33 Capacity Necessary for Backup of Previous
a.
Login to the server on which to perform the tasks. Perform operations after logging in with root (superuser).
b.
Insert the DVD-ROM "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM/Express Mediapack for Linux 64bit (Manager Program) (2/2)" for this version into
the DVD-ROM drive.
Refer to "DVD-ROM Contents" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for this version for information on the DVD-
ROM structure and detailed contents.
c.
Mount the DVD-ROM.
# mount /mnt/dvd
d.
Execute the following command to stop the daemon of ETERNUS SF Manager.
# /opt/FJSVesfcm/bin/stopesf.sh
e.
Implement backup of the previous version.
Execute the following command. For backupDir, specify the directory in which to store the backup data with an absolute
path. For tmpDir, specify a directory in which to temporarily place the files related to the performance management
Version" for information on the capacity required to perform a backup.
