7. Mark the position of the Belt Tensioner (B) on the Main Frame bracket
(C) to record the angle of the Tension Spring arm's position.
8. Slowly turn the Drive Pulley (D) backward and carefully ease the Drive
Belt (E) off the Drive Pulley to the outside.
Be sure to keep fingers clear of all pinch hazards as
you turn the Drive Pulley.
9. Using needlenose pliers, carefully release the spring (F) on the Belt
Tensioner (B).
10. Using 13mm wrench and 6mm hex wrench, loosen and remove
the Belt Tensioner Hardware (G). Remove the Belt Tensioner assembly
(B) from the Main Frame and the Drive Belt (C). Discard the old Belt
Tensioner Assembly.
11. Install the new Belt Tensioner Assembly. Adjust the Belt Tensioner
position to the angle of the previous position recorded.
NOTICE: Do not overtighten the hardware (G). The Belt Tensioner
must be able to pivot. If the hardware is too tight, this can
cause wear on the bearings.
12. Put the Drive Belt (E) onto the Drive Pulley (D). Make sure the Drive
Belt is aligned on the Flywheel pulley (H1), Belt Tensioner (B) and Drive
Pulley (D). Be sure that the upper portion of the Drive Belt is under the
bearings on the Belt Tensioner.
13. Using needlenose pliers, attach the Belt Tensioner Spring (F).
