Receiving Faxes Manually: MANUAL MODE

Setting MANUAL MODE

Follow this procedure to set the receive mode to MANUAL MODE:

Press Function, then Receive Mode.

Press ∂ or ¨ to select MANUAL
MODE.

Press Set.
• The LCD changes to this display:

Receiving a Fax Manually

Follow this procedure to receive a fax manually:

Make sure Manual is displayed in the
LCD.

Make sure you have connected the
handset or extension telephone to
your machine (1 Set-Up Instructions).

When you hear the handset or
extension telephone ring, pick up the
handset.
I If you hear a long beep tone or silence:

Someone is trying to send you a fax.
Press Start/Copy on your machine
and hang up to begin receiving the
document.
• If you are using the extension telephone
and it is located away from your
machine, dial 25 (the default remote
receiving ID) on your telephone and
hang up.
