How to Replace the Fuse

Fuses are located as shown in the tables
below. Each fuse protects the equipment
from reverse polarity of the ship's mains
and equipment fault. If a fuse blows, find the
cause before replacing it. Use the correct
fuse. Using the wrong fuse will damage the
equipment and void the warranty.
Note: For monitor units MU-190/MU-231/MU-270W, see the monitor's operator man-
ual for fuse details.
For all AC-powered configurations
Note: This fuse is located on the front of the processor unit.

2218-BB/FAR-2228/FAR-2328/FAR-2328-
NXT/FAR-2228-BB/FAR-2328W/FAR-
2238S(-BB)/FAR-2338S/FAR-2338SW/

For DC-powered configurations

Note: This fuse is located on the front of the processor unit.

Checks and measures
Check the antenna unit for
corrosion and paint pealing.
If the grease dries out, the
V-ring may break, allowing
water to leak inside the an-
tenna unit.

6. MAINTENANCE, TROUBLESHOOTING
Remarks
If corrosion or paint pealing is
found, paint the affected area.
Do not paint the antenna (see
below), only paint the scanner.
Note: Painting the antenna may
result in reduced performance
and/or damage to the antenna.
Have a qualified technician apply
the grease oil to the antenna ro-
tary.
