Cable Box Record Source
If you are programming a timer
recording with a cable box, your
record source depends on
whether or not you have setup
Cable Box Control (see page 89):
• If Cable Box Control is on, set
the Record Source to the
actual cable channel you wish
to record (recommended).
• If Cable Box Control is off, set
the Record Source to Channel
2, 3, or 4—whichever your
cable box uses—and select the
channel you wish to record on
the cable box.

Set Recording Source
Use the number keys (1-4) to set the Record
Source. The default setting is the current
tuner (television) channel.
1 Ch## — Records from the Tuner. Use the
number keys (0-9) or up/down arrow keys
to set the channel number.
2 Line 1 — Records from the front line
inputs.
3 Line 2 — Records from the rear line
inputs.
4 Ch##s (Channel Simulcast) — Records
video from the Tuner and audio from Line
2 (usually connected to an FM stereo).
Use the number keys (0–9) or the up/
down arrow keys to set the channel
number.

Set Recording Deck
Use the number keys (1-2) to set the
Recording Deck. The default setting is the
currently selected deck.
1 Deck 1— Show will be recorded on tape
in Deck 1.
2 Deck 2 — Show will be recorded on tape
in Deck 2.
