Separate the top protective packaging from the bottom one and place both
top and bottom protective packaging as shown below.
• Place the top protective packaging so that the
right respectively, and confirm that the depressions of the bottom protective
packaging are facing you.
• Do not remove the protective bag from the bottom protective packaging until you
perform step 15.

Cut off the protective bag along the dotted line.
• Do not remove the drum unit from the bottom protective packaging until you
perform step 15.

Open out the protective bag so that the drum unit can be seen completely.
Then, lift the tabs and lower the lock levers on both sides of the drum unit.
• Be sure to open out the protective bag so that the drum unit can be seen completely.
Otherwise, replacing the drum unit cannot be performed correctly.
• Do not remove the protective sheet until you perform step 15.
