Media Options - Overview

Only use media provided by Travis Industries. The use of any other materials inside this appliance
could create hazardous conditions and may result in property damage, bodily injury, or even death

Make sure the gas control valve is OFF and the heater is cool prior to conducting service.

If using propane (LP), convert the appliance before installing the media

This appliance requires the use of a fireback kit. Install the Fireback BEFORE installing the
media.
Overview
The 430 Mod-Fyre requires "media" to complete the installation. This insert is very flexible with the
placement of the media, which allows the look to be customized to fit your aesthetic tastes. At a minimum,
every installation requires a base layer of spreadable media (Crushed Glass or Rock Embers) to cover the
media tray and burners. The following base layer materials are available:


Additionally, you can choose to add a Log and Stone kit to add additional visual points of interest in the
firebox. The following log and stone kits are available:
