Job Aid: Replacing the SAMP on the S8500B Media Server
3. In the Address field of the browser, type the URL for the media server and press Enter.
The Welcome window opens.
4. Click Continue.
5. Accept the Avaya certificate by clicking Yes.
6. Log on as craft or dadmin.
7. Suppress alarm origination by clicking Yes.
8. Click Launch Maintenance Web Interface.
9. In the navigation pane select Data Backup/Restore > Backup Now.
10. Under the Data Sets heading, select all data sets:
Avaya Call Processing (ACP) Translations
Server and System Files
Security Files
11. Under the Backup Method heading, select the desired type of backup.
Sends the data to an FTP server
Emails the data to a different location
Local PC card
12. If you want to encrypt the backup, select the Encrypt backup using pass phrase check
box and type a pass phrase.
13. Click Start Backup.
When backing up or restoring, the SAMP configuration file also gets backed up or restored
(the Server and System Files data set saves them as OSS files).
Powering down the media server

To power down the media server:
1. From the Maintenance Web Interface, click Shutdown Server.
The Shutdown Server page displays.
2. Select Delayed.
