Displaying the ink ribbon or printer
setting information
You can keep information such as the ink ribbon
type and remaining amount, set number of prints,
and reduced image settings on the video monitor
at all times.
Note
Use the remaining ribbon display as a guideline.

Setup] screen.

whether or not to display information.

Disabling message display

You can configure settings so messages are not
displayed on the video monitor.

Setup] screen.

whether or not to display messages.

Selecting controls using the device
connected to the REMOTE
connector
You can control the printer remotely using the
FS-24 Foot Switch (not supplied) connected to the
REMOTE connector on the rear panel of the
printer.
In [Remote Function] on the [Remote Setup] tab of
the [System Setup] menu, assign controls to the
foot switch connected to the REMOTE connector.
In addition, the printer can be remotely controlled
by a pulse signal input sent to the REMOTE
connector (page 78).
You can also control the printer remotely by
connecting a computer to the RS-232C connector.
