Emergency Operations
Emergency Operations are used in critical situations.
Emergency Operation Services:
Emergency Alarm
Emergency Call (Group, Private, or Phone)
Emergency Status
Emergency Alert
Emergency Services are initiated in:
Emergency Mode
Silent Emergency Mode
Pressing the Emergency button triggers Emergency Operation. When you press the Emergency
button, your radio activates one or more of the emergency services (depending on provisioned
settings).
Entry into Emergency Mode or Silent Emergency Mode
Sending of Emergency Alarm (or other status message)
Starting Hot Mic operation
Start an Emergency individual call
Powering up the terminal
The following lists the Emergency features available on your radio.
Emergency Alarm
A special status message that is sent when your radio enters Emergency Operations to the
Console to alert the operator regarding emergency condition.
Emergency Call
Calls initiated in Emergency mode are known as Emergency Calls. Emergency Call is the highest
pre-emptive priority call. Available Emergency Call types:
Emergency Call – There are 2 types of Emergency Calls available:

Tactical Group Call – Your radio sends an emergency alarm and/or makes an Emergency
Call on the current channel.

Non-tactical Group Call – Your radio reverts to the preprogrammed emergency channel to
send an alarm and/or make an Emergency Call.
Emergency Private Call or Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
A simplex or duplex call with emergency priority.
Emergency Full Duplex Private Calls (FDPC) supports high/low audio state.
Emergency Status
Enables your radio to send a status message with a preprogrammed value to the destination
address set by your service provider. Status is not re-sent when Emergency Alarm or Hot
Microphone is configured.
