The objective of this section is to explain how to
use your mobile radio for sending and receiving
an emergency alarm. You will learn how to:
• send an emergency alarm/call
• respond to an emergency alarm/call
• cancel an emergency alarm/call
This section answers the following questions:
1. How do I alert others than an emergency situ-
ation has occurred?
2. What happens when an emergency alarm is
sent?
3. How does my mobile radio function during an
emergency?
4. How do I cancel an emergency alarm, whether
accidentally or intentionally sent?
Definition
A computer that controls the radio system. It is
located in the Electric Building.
Computers located in the ECC [monitors the
Electric System on a 24-hour basis] and in Crew
Dispatch.
Energy Control Center, the department whose
responsibility is to analyze incoming information
from SCADA and trouble calls and to provide
repair solutions for field service units. This center
operates 24 hours a day and accepts customer calls
during non-business hours.
An incident where injury to District personnel or
destruction of District property is imminent or has
already occurred.
