9 Select the Interface

If the printer is connected to the computer through the USB or parallel port,
you must use the printer operation panel to select the appropriate interface
setting. If the correct interface setting is not selected, the printer will not be
able to communicate with the computer.
Note
The parallel interface is selected before shipping. If the printer has just been set up
and connected to the computer via the parallel port, you do not need to perform the
interface selection.

Press the Online button to switch off the Online lamp.
The printer is set offline.

Press the Setup button.
The Setup Menu opens.
