Setting Up the Printer
A software utility that displays from a network computer the status of the
printer and allows pausing and deleting print jobs. NetSpot Job Monitor is
available on the Canon Home Page (http://www.canon.com/) and can be
downloaded and installed as needed.

printer and allows selecting the printer and network interface board settings.
Access rights for Administrators and other users are allocated for each Client
on the network. NetSpot is provided on the software CD-ROM. (

Server software that allows you to use a Web browser to display the status of
the printer from a network computer and perform the settings for the printer
or the network interface board. This software operates with Windows XP,
Windows 2000, Windows NT4.0, Windows Me, and Windows 98. NetSpot
Console can be downloaded for no charge from the Canon Home Page
(http://www.canon.com/) and installed on any server computer.
A function that allows you to display the status of the printer, perform printer
settings, and pause and delete print jobs using a Web browser from a
network computer. This function is built into the NB-11FB, the network
interface board for Canon N1000/N2000 printers.
Software that allows you to manage print jobs and display information about
the printer using your own Web browser on Windows XP or Windows 2000
with IIS (Internet Information Services) installed and with the printer setup
as a shared device. By installing the Device Status Extension on Windows
XP or Windows 2000, you can switch to the Device Status Extension printer
screen provided by Canon to display the printer information. Further,
NetSpot Console can be started and used from the Device Status Extension
screen to perform printer and other settings. The Device Status Extension is
provided on the software CD-ROM. For details about how to install and use
the Device Status Extension, please open and read the Readme.txt file in the
"DSE" folder on the software CD-ROM.
