Installing Optional Paper Cassettes

Installing Options
Two paper cassettes, Cassette 2 (middle) and Cassette 3 (bottom) can be
installed on the N1000, and one cassette, Cassette 2 (bottom) can be installed
on the N2000. Installation of optional cassettes allows automatic switching
between these paper supply sources. Follow the procedure below to install
optional paper cassettes.
To avoid dropping and damaging the paper feed unit or causing personal
injury when moving it, always grip the paper feed unit by the lift handles
provided on the left and right side of the paper feed unit.
To avoid breaking a paper cassette and personal injury, always remove the
cassettes before lifting and moving the paper feed unit.
If you are installing two paper feed units for the N1000, Paper Feed Unit PFN-12
for Cassette 2 (middle) and Paper Feed Unit PFN-13 (bottom), be sure to read the
labels on the backs of the paper feed units. PFN-13 for Cassette 3must be installed
on the bottom. If PFN-12 for Cassette 2 is installed on the bottom, even if both are
installed the printer will not be able to use them.
