Problems with the transmission
Problem
The transmission has
problems shifting gear.
The acceleration ability
is deteriorating.
The transmission no
longer changes gear.
Releasing the parking lock manually

The following description does not apply
to vehicles with a DIRECT SELECT lever and
AMG vehicles.
In the event of an electrical fault, it is possible
to release the selector lever lock manually to
move it out of position P, e.g. if you wish to
tow the vehicle away.
Apply the parking brake.
