Step 5: Connecting the AC
power cord (mains lead)
Before connecting the AC power cord (mains
lead) of the subwoofer to a wall outlet (mains),
connect the speaker to the subwoofer (page 25).

Note
• After connecting the AC power cord (mains lead),
wait about 20 seconds before turning on the power by
pressing "/1.
• Use the system near the wall outlet (mains). Should
you notice an abnormality in the system, disconnect
the AC power cord from the AC outlet immediately.

Step 6: Operating the
system using the GUI

(Graphical User Interface)

When you connect the subwoofer's HDMI TV
OUT jack and your TV's HDMI IN jack with the
HDMI cable (not supplied), you can use the GUI
menu.
By using the GUI menu, you can make various
settings and adjustments.
You can make the settings and adjustments by
the SYSTEM MENU as well. In that case, see
"Using the system menu" (page 95).
