Platform Manual Descent Valves
The platform manual descent valves are used in the event of
total power failure to lower the platform using gravity.
DO NOT USE THE MANUAL DESCENT CONTROLS IF THE SLACK CHAIN
WARNING ALARM IS ACTIVE. REFER TO SECTION 5 FOR SPECIFIC
RECOVERY PROCEDURES.
1. To lower the mast:
a. Install the actuator on the remote pull bar.
b. Pull on the actuator. Release the actuator when the
platform is lowered to the desired level.
c. Return the actuator to the battery storage compart-
ment after use.
2. To lower the jib once the mast is fully retracted, push in
the manual descent valve override button. Release the
button when the platform is lowered to the desired level.
KEEP BODY, HANDS AND ARMS OUT OF THE PATH OF THE MAST, THE
JIB AND THE PLATFORM WHILE LOWERING.

Mast Manual Descent Valve and Actuator
- The mast manual descent valve actuator is stored behind the
access door to the battery.
- The mast manual descent remote pull bar is located on the
right side of the platform.
