Using Effects
Effects-Only Programs can only be used on Mixer Channels
Effects-Only Programs can only be used on Mixer Channels; they cannot be loaded
directly into Send Busses or Output Busses.
As a workaround, you can load an Effects-Only Program onto a Mixer Channel,
and then copy the individual Effects onto the desired Send Bus or Output Bus.
What if I get an error message?
If you try to add an Effect or an Effects-Only Program, but get an error message
stating that there is not enough processing power to play the Multi, you may need
to reduce the number of voices of one or more Programs, reduce the number of
Effects being used, or otherwise free up system resources. For more information,
please see "Managing Resources," on page 60.
Using Channel Insert Effects
Channel Insert Effects provide "inline" processing for specific Programs, Audio
Inputs, or Streams. You can use the inserts for effects such as EQ, distortion,
compression, in which only the processed signal is heard, or use the Effect's
wet/dry parameter for effects such as reverb, for creating a blend of both the
processed and the original sounds.
FX Auto-Load
Programs can include a set of insert Effects, and the FX Auto-Load button
determines whether or not these Effects will be loaded into the Mixer. For more
information, please see "Auto-Load FX controls how Effects are loaded," on
page 14
Using Send Effects
Using Effects on a Send Bus enables you to share the Effects between two or more
Mixer Channels, including any combination of Programs, Audio Inputs, and
Streams. You can also send a Stream directly to a Send Bus.
