Replacing the Ribbon

When your printing becomes too faint, you need to replace the
ribbon. Use only the # 8 7 6 6 standard Epson replacement ribbon
cartridge for the DFX-8000.
The steps below show you how to replace. the ribbon.
1. . If the printer is on line, press the ON Ll!lE button to take it off
line. Then turn off the printer and open the top cover.
Note: Make sure that the printer is off line before you turn it off.
When you take the printer off line, the gap between the print
head and the platen widens, making it easier for you to replace
the ribbon.
