INSTALLATION
POSITIONING
• Install the vibration damping feet (accessories).
• Check the unit supports and weights before positioning
• Make sure that the unit is level, adjust the height of the
support feet if necessary
• Use the flexible joints supplied for the water connections
• Make sure there is easy access to the water circuit and
electrical parts
• For installation, if the site is exposed to strong winds, fix
the unit adequately using tie rods if necessary.
• In heating mode the unit produces a significant quantity of
condensate, which must be suitably drained.
Condensate drainage must not cause problems to objects
or people.
• If the outside air temperature is less than 0°C, the con-
densate may freeze; in these case fit a frost protection
heater on the drain line.
Install the outdoor unit so that the finned coil and fans
remain clean.
Therefore, avoid installing the appliance near shrubs or
bushes that may affect correct operation of the unit due to
falling leaves.
Install the unit on a base at least 15 cm high and in any
case high enough to separate the unit from the ground and
any element in the immediate vicinity that may affect opera-
tion of the fans, coil or condensate drain, causing the unit to
malfunction.

Determine the height of the base where the unit is installed
considering the maximum height of snowfall during the win-
ter period, which must not exceed the height of the base.
Two or more units must not be installed facing in the same
direction, one in front of the other, or in any case in positions
whereby the outlet of air from the fans on the rear unit can
flow into the finned coil on the front unit.
If necessary, install barriers in accordance with the clear-
ances defined previously.
