8.9 Engine running issue

Clean the engine (cylinder fins, fly wheel area etc) before start of troubleshooting.
Confirm that the fuel is of correct quality and not to old. Purge the fuel system 10 times.
Run Auto Test, check for error codes. Error code might give a hint of the problem
Air supply
1.
Confirm that the air filter is clean.
2.
Check the spark arrestor (if equipped).
3.
Confirm that muffler is not blocked.
Fuel system
1.
Check fuel filter.
2.
Check fuel hoses (including impulse hose) for
leakage by pressure test.
3.
Check tank venting functionality.
Spark plug/Ignition module
1.
Check spark plug and spark plug cap.
2.
Check cables and connectors for wear.
3.
Check torque on ignition coil screws.
4.
Check the ground wire.
Leakage
1.
Check function of decompression valve (if
equipped).
2.
Check mounting/interface intake rubber and
carburettor.
3.
Check cylinder base.
4.
Check intake system.
5.
Check cylinder.
6.
Check gaskets on crankshaft.
7.
Check crank case.
Carburettor
1.
Check leakage by pressure test (positive
pressure on fuel inlet and negative pressure
on purge outlet).

Check throttle shaft and valve function.
3.
Check filter screen for dirt.
4.
Check metering lever for wear and height.
