Cleaning the air filter

(Every other month)
A clean air filter is a must for proper functioning of
the heat pump. Open the front panel and remove the
filter (23). Wash the filter in lukewarm water and a
mild detergent, e.g. washing-up liquid.
A reminder alarm occurs every other month. This
does not affect any control functions, but must be
acknowledged after the filter has been cleaned.
Acknowledge the alarm by pressing the right-hand
button on the control panel.
Cleaning the ceiling or wall-mounted valves
(Twice a year)
Remove the valve carefully. Wash in mild washing-
up liquid without interfering with the settings. Let it
dry before putting it back. When the plant is started,
each valve obtains an individual setting. Therefore
clean one valve at a time to avoid misplacement.
Checking the pressure gauge in the connecting
area
(Twice a year)
Particularly important during autumn when the
heating system starts up again. The pressure gauge
for the hot water (13) should normally be set at 0.5–
1.5 bar. If the pressure is lower than 0.5 bar you
should fill with water up to around 1.0 bar. (See
Operational disturbances.)
Avoid repeated filling with small amounts of water
since this could damage the heating system.

Protective anode

An anode requiring no maintenance is located under
the insulation at the top of the hot water cylinder
(22). Its purpose is to prevent corrosion. The
cylinder must be filled with water for the anode to
work.
A diode lamp on the anode control unit (21) shows a
red or a green light. A green light indicates that the
anode is operating and working normally. Should
large amounts of hot water be drawn off (when
filling a bath for instance) the diode lamp may show
a red light for a short time even though there is no
fault. If the lamp shows red for more than 10 hours,
the anode is faulty and a service engineer must be
called. You can wait until the next working day if
the fault occurs on a holiday.
