Idling
Idling for longer than five minutes is against the law. Please also avoid bringing loud-muffler cars or
trucks onto the property.
Drive slowly!
Our speed limit along the driveway is 10 mph. Please be especially careful as you turn the corner
around the second building, as children may be playing there.
Grounds
We maintain the grounds by adding flowering plants, mowing lawns, and weeding/maintaining front
and back garden beds. We regularly add new flowers and plantings around Aster Fields. If you are
interested in being involved with the ongoing beautification of Aster Fields, you are welcome to
collaborate with our Property Manager and landscaping team.
- Background patios: We respect your privacy and will avoid unnecessary intrusions behind the
buildings. For residents of all townhomes or 1st floor apartments, we encourage you to "make
patios your own" by adding potted plants and patio furniture.
- Community Garden: We have set aside a fenced-in area for use as a Community Garden. Please
contact our Property Manager to reserve a garden plot. Visit asterfields.org/community-garden
for Community Garden rules and regulations.
- Grill and Picnic Area. Please respect your neighbors when using this community resources. Do
not sit on top of the picnic tables or use the grills for anything other than food.
- Water: Please request permission to use outside water faucets. Permission will not be granted
for car washing.
Common Area Pest Control
Aster Fields common areas and grounds are treated on a regular basis using environmentally-
conscious products.
Snow Removal
Here are some guidelines for keeping sidewalks and parking lots snow- and ice-free.
1. During winter months, we place extra salt in bins at the following locations:
a. Building 1 & 2: by the bulkhead doors
b. Building 3: in bins in the front of the building
c. Aster Row: outside each of the four doors
If you notice any slippery conditions, please throw some salt on those areas and/or please call

2. Thanks for observing our parking and snow removal policies!
Here is a quick reminder:
a. Parking is not allowed in the designated snow pile areas December 1 - April 1. We will
authorize towing of any car parked in these areas during this time period.
b. When you hear the snowplows clearing the parking area
1. Clean off your car
2. Move your car to a clear area so the snowplow company can remove as much
snow from the parking lot as possible.
c. Make sure your vehicle information is updated so we do not accidentally tow your car.
You can find the "Snow Removal, Parking, and Towing Policy" form at
asterfields.org/residents). If we do not have a form from you, we will assume you don't
have a car. If you change your vehicle, please update your information.
