Putting on the Carrying Strap

(Pic. 9)
Always wear a shoulder strap
when working with the equip-
ment. Always switch off the
equipment before loosening the
shoulder strap. Risk of accidents.
The carrying strap is equipped
with a quick-release device.
Pulling the red lug (28a) releases
the device quickly from the carry-
ing strap in a dangerous situation.
1. Put on the carrying strap (28) and
close the strap clasp (38).
2. Adjust the strap so it fi ts tightly.
3. Adjust the strap so the spring clip (39)
is around 10 cm below the hip.
4. Fix the spring clip onto the lifting ring
(9) on the shaft tube of the equipment.
Unhook the equipment before start-
ing the engine and fi x it to the carry-
ing strap with the engine running.

Start the engine at least three
metres from the fi lling location
Ensure that the protective cap on
the thread cutter (see pic. 7, no.
14) has been removed.
