5. Click and drag the C C o o l l o o r r B B a a l l a a n n c c e e slide
bar for each color to adjust the color
settings. The results will preview.
6. Click and drag the I I n n t t e e n n s s i i t t y y slide bar to
change the intensity (saturation) for the
image. The results will preview.
7. I I m m a a g g e e C C o o l l o o r r M M a a n n a a g g e e m m e e n n t t ( ( I I C C M M ) ) is a
feature that automatically adjusts the
image colors. (This feature is only available in Windows 98, Me and 2000).
To use ICM for automatic color adjustment, click the E E n n a a b b l l e e
I I C C M M check box. All other features on this tab (except Intensity)
will become inactive.
8. Under P P r r i i n n t t T T y y p p e e , select P P h h o o t t o o when printing photographs. This allows for a
wider range of tones. Set to G G r r a a p p h h i i c c when printing graphic images for
crisper, cleaner graphic images.
9. Select a B B r r i i g g h h t t n n e e s s s s setting to determine how light or dark the image will
appear when printed.
10. When done, click O O K K .
To print in black only, check the G G r r a a y y s s c c a a l l e e P P r r i i n n t t i i n n g g box. This
will convert color images to grayscale when printing, without
changing the original colors in the document.

1. Make sure that the S S 5 5 0 0 0 0 is the selected printer. (From the A A p p p p l l e e menu,
select C C h h o o o o s s e e r r , then S S 5 5 0 0 0 0 .)
2. From an application F F i i l l e e menu, click P P r r i i n n t t .
3. Click the M M a a n n u u a a l l
then click D D e e t t a a i i l l s s .
4. Click the C C o o l l o o r r icon.
