1. Make sure the printer is on and paper loaded.
2. Click S S t t a a r r t t , then S S e e t t t t i i n n g g s s , then P P r r i i n n t t e e r r s s .
3. Right-click the C C a a n n o o n n S S 3 3 0 0 0 0 printer icon, then select P P r r o o p p e e r r t t i i e e s s .
4. Click the M M a a i i n n t t e e n n a a n n c c e e tab,
then click the N N o o z z z z l l e e C C h h e e c c k k
button.
5. Click O O K K to start the nozzle
test. The nozzle test pattern
will print.
6. Examine the printout to
determine the next action:
•
Lines missing in the
printout indicate that the
printhead requires
cleaning. See "Cleaning
the Printhead" on page 24.
•
Uneven patterns indicate that the printhead needs to be aligned. See
"Aligning the Printhead" on page 25.

3. Click U U t t i i l l i i t t i i e e s s . The Canon S300 Printer
Utility window will appear.
4. Select T T e e s s t t P P r r i i n n t t from the drop-down
menu.
5. Click the N N o o z z z z l l e e C C h h e e c c k k button. When
prompted, click O O K K . The nozzle test
pattern will print.
6. When done, click C C l l o o s s e e .
