Check the inactive CPU by entering:
LD 35
TCPU
— If a disabled card is indicated, check it with the appropriate test or
stat command.
— Try to software enable any disabled card (software disable, hardware
disable, then reenable).
If the CPU is still faulty:
— Unseat all CE cards on the inactive CPU; try to sysload by pressing
the reload button on the active CMA.
— If a sysload occurs, reinsert the cards one at a time; the system will
fail when the defective card is inserted; replace that card.
If the CPU is still faulty, one at a time, replace the CE cables until a
sysload occurs.
If the CPU is still faulty, go to the next possible cause.
Replace the card cage assembly in the module.
