Memory expansion circuit pack
(NT6M64AA)

General description

The Expanded Memory circuit pack in slot 3 of the A and B chassis provides
DRAM for temporarily storing various data in the DPP. DRAM is refreshed
periodically by the CPU to maintain its programmed state. Each expanded
memory circuit pack contains up to 256 Kbytes (262,144 bytes) of DRAM. On
the system level, DRAM provides storage of temporary data, such as system
calculations, and updating of statistics.
See Table 4-1 for the jumper option settings on this circuit pack (these are
standard, not user-defined). Figure 4-1 shows jumper location and circuit
pack layout.
