Mute

Note: If you are using an 8405B or 8405D, the Mute feature affects the microphone
associated with the handset only. If you are using an 8405B Plus or 8405D Plus, the
Mute feature mutes the handset when you are talking on the handset and mutes the
speakerphone microphone when you are using the built-in speakerphone.

and then press the softkey below CnLWC
(while on-hook or off-hook)
If your 8405 does not have a display or if CnLWC is
not available on your display, press
(while on-hook or off-hook)
or Dial the Leave Word Calling cancel code

Dial the extension
Note: If reorder tone is heard, message is not
canceled; try again.

The Mute feature turns off automatically when you
hang up, or switch from the speakerphone to the
handset or from the handset to the speakerphone.
