10.6 Mounting the VEP 15.6 housing devices
10.6.1 Installation notes
When mounting the embedded terminal, ensure an ergonomic operation. Ad-

ditionally, ensure that all moving machine components can be seen by the op-
erator at any time!
Avoid mounting locations exposed to direct sunlight, as the screen readability
●
is reduced and additional heat development can occur
When mounting the embedded terminal, ensure an easy access to the connec-
●
tor panel (top side)
Provide a minimum space of 50 mm (on all sides of the device) for sufficient
●
cooling and for cable routing
Lay all connecting cables in loops and use strain reliefs for all cables
●
Keep the maximum distance possible from interference sources
●
To maintain the degree of protection, use only cable grommets that fit to the
●
cable cross-sections for the cable bushing

Remove the cover at the rear side of the device to connect the cables. Re-
●
move the screws of the cover (see ② in
page
33) and then remove the cover
Connect all cables
●
After connecting all the cables, tighten the screws of the cover again
●
Ensure that the sealing of the cover is not damaged
●
Mount the cover correctly and fasten the screws with the correct tightening
●
torque
NOTICE
Ensure that the cover is mounted safely before switching on the device.
