    During continuous image acquisition the color of the LED changes between red (exposure) and green (ready). NOTE: In the description that follows the term AxioCam MR is used for both the color camera and the black/white camera. A distinction is only made where this is necessary for technical reasons.

All connectors must be firmly and securely attached. Please protect all camera cables from excessive heat (e.g. halogen lamps, microscope fluorescence illumination).

    The camera can be mounted onto microscopes with standard TV-adapters with C-mount connections. Carl Zeiss supplies the camera complete with a pre-mounted infrared barrier filter, which offers the optical advantage for use on microscopes of a lower sensitivity to dust.
